Smelly toilet

Our second bathroom refurbished 9 years ago and is not typically used every day has a toilet that has a lingering smell. We have put drain cleaner down the toilet but the smell has not gone away. We think the toilet needs some other type of solution to clean out the pipe that connects to the toilet. Ideally this week as I am mostly working from home.
