Tree roots in drain pipe + install soak pit

We have tree roots that need removing from our stormwater pipes. Have already cleared them up to the fence line, but roots remain in the section under the footpath to the road-side gutter. Need an auger tool to rip them out. I'm also thinking of installing a soak pit in the back lawn to help with drainage in winter. Have got some drainage channel already, and have gotten a pit dug. Looking to discuss options ot this stage.
