Plumbing -urgent internal flooding

Over Taranaki Anniversary weekend we were away and it looks like a pipe has burst between our ground floor and 1st floor in the middle of our home on Saturday. Need to ascertain what happened and have it repaired asap because the toby has been turned off and we have no water for showers, toilets, washing etc - carpet is soaking upstairs, garage was flooded with water running down an inside wall.
