Growing wet carpet - unknown leak somewhere

There's a wet patch I noticed in the carpet of a spare room yesterday, it looks like it has spread quite a bit so now a 1/5 of the room carpet is wet but we can't see the source of the water. It rained yesterday but the ceiling is dry. Is this something a builder should look at or more of a plumber?
