Hand basin to be installed just outside our 'toilet room' :)

We have a toilet at the end of our house, and would like to install a small hand basin just outside the 'toilet room'. The place we have in mind for the basin is about 3 m away from the laundry area (where there is hot water, so I imagine will be able to link into that system? ) We have in mind for the plumbing to come out through the floor, rather than the wall - but don't mind either way.
