Dishwasher Plumbing

Job image

Job description

Renovation & Repair
Christchurch

I need my new dishwasher installed. While trying to do the job myself, I find the existing plumbing in my kitchen really messy(see photo). It was done by previous house owner. I need a plumber to do the job properly. Some details: As shown in my photo, I removed a copper tap between the hot water pipe and the sink tap, it was used for the old dishwasher which uses hot water, the new one heat water by itself, so I need a tap on the cold water side for the new dishwasher. The old pipe can probably still be used. The old dishwasher connect its drain hose through my sink pipe with a tiny fitting. They just used a clip to tighten it, which according to my new dishwasher manual, a 15 mm minimum hole is required, the existing one seems to be too small. But if you can make it work, it is an option. Although the new drain hose is 20 mm diameter, I can't figure out how they gonna connect. Another option would be go through the wall behind it, there is an outdoor drainage outside. The wall appears to be made of boards, I should be able to drill a hole on it.

Very honest business. They showed up on time, and did the job professionally. It is worth mention, after the work, it turns out the work is only half an hour labor which is way less than the quote they gave me. So, I was only charged based on the actually work. I would recommend MHR to anyone.
