Kitchen sink, garbage disposal unit removal and reconnecting sink drain

Old, broken garbage disposal unit needs removing from under the sink. Instead of replacing the garbage disposal unit I'd like to connect the kitchen sink to the existing pipe work. Currently been held together in the photo by the 3m tape :-)
