Plastering ALL the walls.

We are going to strip the wallpaper off all our walls and need them to be stopped so we can paint. In total about 150m2 of wall space. I had heard that it would be both cheaper and easier to re-gib the walls and then stop the new gib, but not sure if this is the case.
