Job description

General Plastering
Papakura

I'm currently doing up a 1920s Railway cottage in Papakura and need some repair work done on the fireplace area. It used to have an old coal burner in the area, but we have removed, and are putting in a new freestanding fireplace. Some of the brickwork around the fireplace needs some fixing - prior to us getting it tiled - and are hoping this could be possible? I have spoken to a tradie, and they mentioned we need a plasterer to do the work. We need to have a relatively smooth finish (as tiles we be installed on top afterwards). In terms of the specific work needing done: - the bottom left corner needs fixing up (see in photo) - brick has broken off - plaster along the face of bottom bricks, to cover exposed brick (front face) - fireplace surround (the vertical edges up both sides - exposed brick - need plastering) - the bricks at the top of the fireplace are sitting on a curved bar currently. There are just sitting there, and need to be fixed in/set in place - as they are currently loose - and will also have tiles over the top of them. - the whole area needs to be leaved with a flat finish, ready for tiling Let me know if interested, and if you be keen to take a look.

Rob was fantastic to deal with - we had a small fireplace area that was in a bit of a state. Had seen some photos of previous outdoor BBQ's he'd replastered, and the work mirrored it - perfect finish. We were going to tile the whole area, but after seeing Rob's finished work, we decided to only tile a small portion of the area - and wanted to keep it on show. Happily recommend.
