I'm busy renovating an older place in town, and I'm looking to get the interior walls plastered and/or skimmed. It may be achieved with one coat, or may need multiple, however,I need some expert advice. My intention is to paint the walls, and I would like to get a nice finish before doing so. The 40 year old wallpaper had bonded pretty well to GIB board behind it, and the walls were roughed up in process of removing wallpaper. Most of the damage is just the surface layer of the GIB board papering being ripped, but I don't think that it would paint well in its current state. Rooms include: -3 Bedrooms -Lounge -Hallway -2 x Bathrooms -Possibly some other small areas However, the amount of work will vary across rooms, some may need a lot more or less than others. Let me know if you're interested, in taking a look.
