Replace kitchen ceiling

the ceiling has partly fallen away due to the earthquakes. It is lard and plaster and needs to be completely removed and replaced. We are ready to have the job done now and would like it done as soon as possible.

Repair minor cracks in Rockcoat plaster on the interior of our House

There are slim cracks (between .5mm-1.5mm wide and about 500mm long) forming by 2 windows on the outside of our house. The house is a Rockcoat, at present we dont need it painted just the cracks made water proof. We will be able to pay the trademan direct and dont' need to rely on EQC

Plastering lounge and kitchen

I have a kitchen and lounge to be plastered including ceilings. I would do it myself but have dont have the time. Work will need to be completed between the 12th and 17th of may. I will be pulling out the old kitchen and re-gibbing this weekend, size of the whloe area is about 6.3m x 4.4m x 2.4m stud height. Also looking for a plasterer for on going sub contractor work.

This is a small job plastering a hole in a ceiling in a lounge which was damaged by a couple of bricks during earthquake. There is also a smaller hole in an adjoining room. Ceilings are lathe and plaster.

Earthquake damage - Garage door jamb, gib crack & paint, lintel

Another Christchurch earthquake damage. Damages are: - Garage door gets jammed up at door jamb. Corrugated tilt single garage door and mechanics seems to be fine. It appears that the frame around the door has skewed during earthquake. There used to be about 20mm gap between door and jamb, but no longer there. Possibly some carpentary work may fix it. - First floor sliding door opening out onto cantilevered balcony become quite heavy to operate, but still works. This has lead me to inspect...

Skim coat plastering

I have potentially four rooms (depends on the costs) that need skim coating done so I can repaint the areas. I have been told that it may not be necessary for me to remove textured wallpaper as it is in good condition, but would like advice from whomever wins the job as to if this is okay, or if the paper does need to be removed first.

Gib stopping- 6sqm bathroom

We have already started on the gib stopping- well the builder did. All major joins/ holes are done, but we're just not sure where we go from here. There's probably a little bit of stopping to be done and then sanding. Ceiling doesn't need anything- just the walls. We have all the materials here- we just need you to do the final preparation for painting. 6sq m Bathroom. We already have our painter organised, so please no painters.

We need our whole house "raked out and plastered" (EQC terminology) after the earthquake. There will be a couple of new sheets of gib required. Two rooms need more extensive work than the rest of the house. One room needs the ceiling paper stripped off and resurfaced. Two bedroom house with 1 bathroom (with toilet), open plan kitchen dining living, 1 washouse and seperate toilet and a small backporch. We would be willing for trades people to view to be able to make a reliable quote.

Small gib ceiling repair

We need a section of GIB cut out from the lounge ceiling where there is slight water damage. It needs to be replaced with new GIB. The area to be cut out is approx 2sq metres. This will need to be plastered & sanded. Sorry did not take photos of this as we anticipated doing the work ourselves but circumstances have changed. It is a straightforward job. Hi have some earthquake damage to ceilings in lounge and dining areas. Look like cracks on joins, and on previous repaired areas. So retape and stipple. I would think the size of the areas affect, this would be a classed as small job. Would prefer to have done quicky as tenant goes in on Saturday and would like to paint before then, if possible, or weekend at latest. Hornby area. Cheers.

Looking for someone to come and plaster over a stippled ceiling and also plaster 4 interior walls. Ceiling is ghastly stipple stuff, but sound enough to be plastered over. In one corner there is a hole where the logburner flue used to go thru which we have patched with gib. Room ceiling measures approx 4x5metres. Walls are lathe and plaster that we have removed wallpaper off so basically just a skim, but theres a few holes aswell. 2 are full walls measure about 2.4x4m and the other 2 wall...
