The pinex wall in lounge (that is adjacent to, but below the bathroom)was soft, damp and damaged at floor level, including the wood behind it. I have broken through the pinex to expose framing(and peameal from the bank has slid through the hole I made) . Another wall in kitchen has a hole in it that gas pipe went through and is crumbly around the power point. The wall just above the skirting board has the odd hole here and there(an invitation to mice to enter) . Basically I wonder whether some of the wall area needs replacing with gib and whether other panels can remain. Naturally I would like work to begin the end of this month or as soon as practical. I can attach photos in a day or two and plan to travel to Wellington for commencement of the work. There may be further stone fall through the internal lounge wall as it is demolished, which would need scooping out.
