i have an old ply ceiling which i'd like to replace with a new gib ceiling. I will remove the existing material prior and insulation between the floors and i'll also get an electrician to rewire, but then i'd like to have it replaced by a gib ceiling. The walls are block but the ceiling has joists to attach to. I'm not sure whether you'd use rondo for this but it may help with reducing noise between this room and the upper level, which is a big reason for doing this.
