Skim coat and repair to existing plasterboard

We have two stairwells, entrance way, lounge and kitchen walls which we would like to improve the finish on after a few knocks and to cover visible joins. Also some cracks around doors and windows to repair. Ceiling height is probably double height in living and entrance.
