We are getting our asbestos walls and ceilings completely removed on possibly Thursday this week (depending on if our removal team gets consent by then). We would like you and your team to do the following : - Put building paper between the brick wall and the insulation. - Put insulation in - Put cross members in a few places in between the vertical strutctural members to be able to mount things up (as seen in one of the attached pictures) - Put up Gib and gibb stop up on the walls so that we are able to come and paint it all ourselves. - Build a "false wall" over the garage door using gib which will need to be temporary just. in case we decide to take down the wall and reconvert the room back into a garage. If possible if you could build the wall with a wooden frame behind it so that you could also add insulation and building paper behind that wall. I've attached photos of the garage door so you can gauge the job. Let me know if you think you can do the job and if so what a rough quote of the job would be. The room is approx 3 by 3 by 8. We are beginning the process ourselves as we have been quoted some ridiculously expensive quotes for what we feel isn't the most difficult job. We are hoping for professional help to achieve a better looking final product however are not willing to pay an arm and a leg for it.
