Hole in wall from previous stovetop ventilation.

I have a hole left in my kitchen leading to outside because of previous ventilation for my oven. I just need it covered so that nothing from outside can get in, I need it to be as flush with the wall as possible as I want it to not be noticeable and be easy to paint. I have uploaded a photo unfortunately the hole cannot be seen as I have covered it for an easy solution for now but want a more flush and professional look. The dimensions of the hole is roughly 27cmx11cm, this leads to outside so it is very deep but the whole hole doesn't need to be covered.
