Plasterboard Ceiling Repair
Job description
I have a large crack in downstairs ceiling between dining area and lounge area. The fault first appeared after the large earthquake in February 2011 and was repaired as part of EQC repair work. The repaired crack has opened up again after a subsequent large after shock some years after the repair a few years ago (just getting around to it): clearly a stress point in the original build and GIB fixing. Looking for a quote to clean out and repair again. There are also a few smaller minor wall cracks that also need repair too but these are mainly hairline cracks. I've 'peeled back' an area of failed repair that appeared to be the underlying tape having separated from the repair; with the tape came some of the gypsum repair compound and exposed the depth and width of part of original repair. Looking for someone to inspect, detail a repair method and provide quote.

Dave did an excellent job of some repair work for me. Demonstrated a good understanding of the issue and provided a good explanation of solution. Excellent finish to the job and very tidy worker. I was very pleased with the work all around.
