Shift manhole

I would like to have the manhole cover from the ceiling in our hallway moved over from the gab between the ceiling joists it is currently in to the adjacent gap to enable us to install a solar tube where the manhole is currently placed. This will involve cutting a new hole and if possible reusing the current manhole frame. Then cover the current manhole with gib, stop and sand ready for painting. In the attached picture it is moving to the location indicated by the red square. The ceiling height is 2.4 metres.
