We have an issue with the vents on our roof. They are currently inhabited by sparrows and as such, their nesting material is falling through the vents and creating a large pile of droppings, twigs and eggs. The vents need removing, the piles removing and then the vents reinstated - preferably with some form of anti-nesting mesh around them. To remove the piles of detritus, there would be need for a long armed grabbing device as getting access via the attic hatches is very difficult (i.e. removal of the vent and grabbing the stuff from the outside).
