Oete wasp nest

Wasp nest is in roof - a board needs to be removed to get in there on outside of house. Our drinking water supply is from the roof and we cannot disconnect gutters so caution on poisons need to be taken. Lots of wasps so must be a big hive in there and very active . I have circled in photo their entry point.
