Mouse or mice in kitchen area

I think I have a mouse or mice in the kitchen. I saw one last Thursday night so now close the door between kitchen and rest of the house. I have found droppings. I do not know if there is one or more. Suspect if there is one there are more around. Have no idea where they are coming from. Found droppings on stove, by fridge and in drawers. No photos as mouse/mice too quick.

The tradesman that came out re my mice/mouse in the kitchen problem turned up promptly. He was friendly and explained what he was going to do. They had the traps I wanted them to use which was great. I actual extended the service for outside as it was coming in from somewhere. He explained how long they should be left out inside and outside. I check my kitchen every day re mouse/mice droppings and there was the odd one. A dead mouse found on lawn hoping it is the one.
