Remove wasps from our roof

We appear to have a gap in our soffits at the rear of our entry lobby's vaulted roof (see photo), and the only reason we noticed is that we saw wasps going in and out.
We do need to fix the soffits, fascias, and repaint the roof -- but we need to deal with the wasps first!
We'd like it done quite soon, as we are seeing more and more wasps -- and we really want to get the roof seen to before we get into the autumn. Thanks.
