I have a problem with starlings building nests in my roof. Google research suggests I could install spikes; another suggestion was to use a product called Wingo (sticky stuff that deters birds). I can't get up on my roof myself & the roof is at quite a sharp pitch so only people used to working on roofs should apply for this job. I don't think it would take very long to install the spikes and/or apply the Wingo product. Other suggestions welcome!
