Location = Residential property – repair plasterboard ceiling and repaint ceiling of single room (Family Room) Room Size =4.2m x 3.0m (12.5m² approx.) Ceiling Type = Flat plasterboard ceiling Paint = Previously painted in Natural Paint Co ceiling paint – matt finish Scope of Work Required: • We require a written, itemised quote suitable for insurance review (AA Insurance). • The new damage is located within a previously repaired section of ceiling, which has had to be recut for recent plumbing repairs. The quote must include: 1. Assessment a) Inspect existing damaged area b) Confirm extent of substrate damage c) Advise whether: d) Advise if spot repair & repaint is viable, OR e) Full ceiling repaint is required for achieving a uniform finish 2. Repair Work a) Remove loose/damaged material b) Re-plaster / skim as required c) Sand and prepare to paint-ready finish d) Spot prime repaired area 3. Painting Requirements a) Important: Ceiling was previously painted using Natural Paint Co ceiling paint (flat matt finish). b) The quote must specify: c) That Natural Paint Co product will be used (like-for-like specification preferred) d) Product name e) Number of coats f) Coverage area (repair area only OR full ceiling repaint needed) g) Any blending limitations or risks of flashing / sheen variation if repair area only is painted. 4. Quote Breakdown (Insurance Requirement) a) AA Insurance requires a clear breakdown showing: b) Labour cost c) Materials cost (paint, plaster, consumables) d) Total GST inclusive e) Separate line items for: f) Repair g) Painting 5. Insurance Documentation a) Please include: b) Written scope of works c) Confirmation of warranty on workmanship d) Photos (before/after if awarded job) e) Company details (for insurer verification) f) Important Notes g) This is an insurance-related repair. h) Quote must reflect damage area only unless technically necessary to repaint full ceiling. i) If full ceiling repaint is required for colour/sheen consistency, please clearly state why.
