Job description

House Painting (exterior) Centre Bush, Southland

Published on 21st November 2024

We are moving to a Linea weatherboard clad property in Centre Bush in February 2025 and it requires repainting and some joints resealing. There is also a Versatile Garage on site which we would look at having painted at the same time.
Both buildings are on flat land and are one story high.

Home dimensions are 26m l x 7.2m w x 2.4m (stud) h
Plus two gable ends 7.2m w x 2m h
Total building height is 5m to the apex

Versatile Garage dimensions are 9m l x 7 m w x 2.4m (stud) h
Two gable ends - I don't have the height, but assume 2m h - prefer to over estimate than under.

This is the information our pre-purchase builder provided, which may help you with determining a price:

The fibre-cement weatherboard cladding and eaves are in average condition for their age (15 years).
The paint is becoming quite weathered and faded as expected after 15+ years. It is due for refreshing before lots more sanding and preparation work becomes necessary.
The joints in the Linea weatherboards have opened up and moved over the years, they can be refilled with a good quality flexible sealant prior to repainting.
The wooden window scribers to the north have lost much of their paint, being affected by the sun.
