Job description
I am seeking a quote to supply paint for and apply it in two rooms and a hall at our home at 210 Port Street East, Feilding? Details are as follows: The attached plan shows the sizes of the bedroom (Bed 4), the store room and the small hall. The stud height of all areas is 2.4 metres. The existing ceilings are all painted gib-board with timber cornices. The existing bedroom and store walls are vinyl wallpaper with painted timber architrave. The hall walls are painted gib-board. The floor carpet will be removed - please protect the existing carpet gripper which will be re-used when new carpet is fitted by others after the painting is complete. There are total seven doors. Five doors including two wardrobe doors are flush panel to be re-painted both sides including the frame. One door to the laundry is fully glazed, the timber is to be painted both sides plus the frame. One door is already painted and the frame only needs to be re-painted. The interior of the wardrobe does not need to be re-painted. I will remove door hardware and remove doors from their hinges, then re-fit when the work is complete. Work required: There are two options for treating the walls - please recommend best option and price accordingly. Option 1 Seal/prime over the existing wallpaper areas, treat all wallpaper joints where necessary to ensure they are glued back, sanded off, and skim to a flush surface as required, and seal/prime repairs with suitable sealer. Option 2 Strip all wallpaper, repair wall surfaces, fill, skim and sand ready for paint finish, then seal/prime with suitable sealer. Prepare all other pre-painted areas, ceilings, trim, architraves, doors and door frames including filling cracks and holes except those with screws in them (for re-fitting various shelves). Apply one undercoat and two top coats to doors, doors frames, walls and ceilings, trim, cornice and architraves. Allow to cut in around door glass, aluminium window frames etc as required. I will release light switches, and unscrew ceiling lights for painting around. I will re-fit them at the end of the job. Power can be isolated at the fuse box during the job however please treat all power fittings as live and allow for your personal safety during painting. Paint to all walls and ceiling, skirting, architraves and cornices to be Resene Zylone Sheen waterborne low sheen interior, Colour: Black White ( --- ). Paint to timber door frames and window frames to be Resene Lustacryl semi-gloss waterborne enamel exterior/interior, Colour: Black White ( --- ). Paint to doors including glazed door to be Resene Lustacryl semi-gloss waterborne enamel exterior/interior, Colour: Rakaia ( --- ). Allow to clean up and remove debris at the end of the job. ASAAP Decorating completed the work in a timely manner. The standard of preparation and painting was excellent and we are most satisfied with the completed project. Proprietors Adrian and Sharna were friendly, communicated well and were easy to deal with.
