We are looking for quotes to paint the interior of our three bedroom house (typical 1950s ex state house that's had some minor renovation in the past). We've done one bedroom ourselves which wasn't perfect (and will probably need some rework on the walls and we still have the doors to do and ceiling). We have an open plan lounge/dining room/kitchen and a small bathroom. We are looking to keep the colour scheme very simple (greys and white) and we've already purchased some paint/colours for the bedrooms but we aren't yet fixed on the colours for the hallway, lounge kitchen & bathroom walls. We would like the walls, ceilings and windows/doors painted. The windows are sash windows. The walls/ceilings will need some touching up as there are a few cracks/scrapes. The bathroom and kitchen would need to be done last as we have a few jobs we might get done e.g new rangehood etc. We aren't sure if the kitchen cupboards/laundry doors can be painted but if they can we could consider this (they might need to go to a specialist place to be coated) . We are looking for a reasonably priced cost effective practical quote. We are currently considering our options from a price/time perspective. We could carry on and try to do it ourselves but we are very slow and we would like to get new carpet etc sometime in the near future but recognise we need to paint first.
