Unpainted vertical cladding needing painting

Semi-detached two storey house with old vertical cedar cladding - we don’t want to stain it every couple of years so want it painted. Will have scaffolding with work platforms up in April and will need three coats. Mostly easy sides, one small bit accessed on the roof
