Light bulb changed but doesn't work. the switch may be the fault

We have changed the light bulb in the hallway, it doesn't work. We suspect the switch may be the fault. The photo attached shows the hallway from the lounge, what we are trying to show here is that this is just normal lighting in a rental house (less than 10 years), nothing complicated. Some people may think the job is too small to take this time. What we are looking for is a reliable tradie we can call when needed for our rental properties.
