Retaining wall 1. Roughly 1.2m x 8m, in front of an existing rotten retaining wall. Will need concrete to be broken to put in posts. Very important good drainage is put in behind the wall. Backfill is not an issue as can be backfilled with spoil from retaining wall 2 (below). Retaining wall 2, also roughly 1.2m x 8m. Down side of house, is an extension of the existing reletively new retaining wall. Will require diggin back into the hillside - spoil can backfill retaining wall 1. Drainage also needs to be very good as currently water from the hillside leaks into the basement room. Other possible work that needs negotiating. Once the walls are built and drainage sorted we would like a deck over the concrete roughly 4m x 8m, and a shelter/roof over that. We are also looking at handrails along the top of the new, and existing walls. Stairs or steps from the deck up to the garden. Other info. We are not in a hurry, timeframe not an issue. We are up 60ish steps from the street. Steps are wide, well built easy access modern concrete. Access for heavy machinary is very limited or maybe impossible.
