Job description

General Landscaping
Wellington

We're looking for quotes for some ground works around the front and side of our house. We'd like to get the work done reasonably quickly, say in the next 1 or 2 months. We are happy to discuss the job with you onsite to help speed up the process and give a better idea of what's needed. The job is in Northland, Wellington. The area is approx 70 square metres. Works Description: 1) Level and even up the ground in an L shaped area of garden on two sides of the house. Currently it is a mixture of earth / rough grass with little slope, but there are some undulations that need to be evened out 2) Lay two concrete pads, first approx 3.1m x 2.0m for an aluminium shed to sit on and second approx 2.0m x 1.7m for bins and utility use 3) Prepare and apply gravel / shingle to remaining ground to create a permeable surface (would be happy to take your thoughts and advice on what would work best and look best) 4) Create brick 'stepping stones' - details to be confirmed - within a small section of existing grass lawn and a longer section of the new graveled surface (we will supply bricks) Notes: 1) Includes all necessary ground preparation for concrete pads (basecourse, polythene etc) and gravel / shingle (basecourse, sand, weed membrane etc) to achieve excellent outcomes and lifetime 2) All materials except bricks needed to be provided and brought on site by the contractor 3) Our house is on a pathway (not on the road). Access is via the neighbour's driveway (60 metres) and then the pathway (30 metres, 1 metre wide) 4) Vehicles can use the private driveway by arrangement only 5) Wheelbarrows / trolleys / foot traffic is OK any time 6) Probably best if you are wanting to quote for this job to come have a look. It might be small enough to achieve with wheelbarrow or trolley etc from the road. Otherwise, it might be feasible to get everything onsite in a single 'drop' at a prearranged time using a vehicle / and an agreed time with the neighbour 7) Any digger / other machinery will need to be able to fit down the path which is approx 1 metre wide 8) All waste, if any, needs to be taken offsite by the contractor
