Convert a waste land to an outdoor living area

We removed an above ground swimming pool from our backyard last year. We would like your help to convert this space into a usable, living area. We are open to landscape ideas while staying within budget. We plan to get a few quotes within the next couple of weeks and for the project to start before we get into the cold and wet winter. A few ideas we have: * Build a retaining wall around the fence and maybe building garden beds around it (vegetable garden?). * Remove swimming pool gates and fence. * Level the ground.
