Remove soil from small edged garden Lay weed mat & fill with stone

I have a small concrete edged garden with loose soil. A root from a small palm needs digging out. Soil removed, weed mat laid then soil replaced with stone. A few things to edge around a hot water cylinder on a paver & a larger palm which has been cut back away from the area. This job needs to be done ASAP. The house is scheduled to be painted in the next couple of weeks and this garden edges up against the house. Was going to concrete but unfortunately there is now no time left.
