Pave flat outdoor area with Firth Piazza Paver or similar. Roughly 22m2 area, length against house slab is 8m for scale against attached photo. Substrate is firm and currently has a 50mm layer of uncompacted base course on it, distance to bottom of cladding is 200mm. Preference is for black sands paver in stretcher bond pattern laid parallel to house slab between house and pergola posts. Remainder of area in volcanic ash laid parallel to garden bed with tussock in it (see photo).
