Landscape Retaining Walls (Below 1.5m)

We've got steep section with a creek running down by the border. We are looking at building a retaining wall and flattening part of the section, it would probably have to be terraced. Would consider timber or keystone retaining wall and would need earth to fill it and drain etc, plus a workmanship guarantee given the complicated nature of our section.
