We are having an exterior window removed and filled in and thought we'd take the opportunity to see what would be involved in having spray foam insulation installed in the wall(s). At this stage, depending on what's involved, it would just be a single, street facing wall to help with noise reduction. The wall dimensions are 4.8m x 2.4m (11.52m2). We would need to coordinate with a builder who will be removing the window and filling it in (see other job posted). I should also add that we are not 100% certain that there is insulation already, nor what state the building paper is in. If there is insulation, we would leave it there and this job would not be required. If the building paper isn't in good condition , we would need to defer as this is obviously a much larger job. We won't know this until the window is removed. Our preference is a natural insulation such as wool, but this may be dependent on price.
