We wish to have pink batts wall insulation fitted (by a suitable licensed installer) into three existing walls in a bedroom. This will require removing gib, fitting insulation according to the relevant building standard and making good (including plastering) in preparation for painting (we will do the painting). Building consent is required by the council and they need to inspect the fitting of the insulation prior to the new gib being fitted. This will take up to 20 business from acceptance of the quote. Our house is of 1950's origin with brick external walls (including the ones we wish to insulate from the inside). Stud centres are 400mm apart. We wish to use a minimum of R2.6 Batts & would also like quotes for using R3.2 & R4.0 A diagram of the key wall dimensions is included as photo. Note, the wardrobe interior is out of scope - it is wood lined rather than gibbed.
