Building inspection & small works quote

I have a 1960's state housing unit block (4 x 3bd) under contract. I would like a builder to go through and look for any major structural issues that may be a trap for me later. I don't need a formal report, this is just for my info. Additionally the 4 units are in differing levels of condition and i'd like to do some upgrade work at the same time (paint, new vinyl flooring, cabinets, curtains, gate fix etc), so a quote on this during inspection would be great too.
