Hello, I am seeking a Certificate of Compliance for electrical work I carried out as part of a building addition. This certificate is required to obtain building consent from the Rotorua City Council. The work was performed in accordance with the NZ Code of Practice for Homeowners, which mandates that “the work is tested by a registered electrical inspector, in accordance with NZS 3019.” The electrical work consists of the following four circuits: Circuit 1: Installed four power outlets to an existing 2.5 mm² cable connected to a 20A fuse in the main switchboard. Circuit 2: Installed three backyard lights using a 1.5 mm² cable connected to a 10A fuse in the main switchboard. The cable also passes through a power outlet in the roof, which is connected to a kitchen extractor. Circuit 3: Installed a secondary switchboard in the garage, connected to a 20A fuse in the main switchboard. The secondary switchboard includes a 20A RCBO for a new laundry, and three 10A switches for existing 1.5 mm² cables leading to lights and power outlets. Circuit 4: Installed a 2 x 275W heat lamp with an extraction fan using an existing 1.5 mm² cable connected to a 10A fuse in the main switchboard. The existing cable was damaged and will need replacement with a new 1.5 mm² cable. I have attached some pictures of the work for your reference. The property is located in Rotorua 3010, Glenholme. Please let me know if you are available to inspect the work and provide the required certification. Best regards, Diego Elustondo
