Hi, I have a home where a long hairline crack has appeared over time underneath a large, heritage bay leadlight window in a 1920's bungalow on an internal wall. Although dry at the moment, the crack has appeared across the plasterboard across where it appears that a join between two plasterboards have been laid and taped/skimmed and painted. Some possible (historical) staining possibly indicating some dampness over winter. I'm interested in getting a professional opinion which may require a smaller hole cut into the wall to investigate whether this is typical settlement over time (which is not concerning) or a bigger issue. The bay window above isn't quite water tight and can have some very minor dribbles through the window through winter in the right rainfall directions. Length of crack runs from bottom of bay window to bottom top of skirting board, about 600-800mm. Make-good of the investigation hole would be part of the service, as well as a discussion of the possible fixes required, if any. Ray

Tim was great to work with and took pride in doing a good job with a good outcome. He worked closely with our tenants to make sure disruption was minimised (they were stoked!); and kept us in the loop on developments as the job developed. Really happy to have commissioned North Island Construction for this work.
