Frosty wife!

Had a secondhand Mitsubishi heavy industries ducted unit installed in my place as an under the table job for the fridgie - I'm a sparky, worked great all summer on cooling but appears to have lost its gas as it stopped working at all when switched over to heating - I got through last winter without fixing it but the boss lady is starting to get a little frosty - Help!
