Curtain rod installation
Job description
I will need someone to help mount three curtain brackets that will support an expandable curtain rod, above a 3m long ranchslider/window, and ensure that all the screws go into wall studs. I am based in Te Atatu Peninsula, in a new-build. Therefore the job can only be done from June 17th onwards. The job broke after 6 months. The owner/operator, Steve became sporadic in communication, and took 6 months to come and assess the failed work. He wanted to charge me an ADDITIONAL $280 to fix it, even though he is legally obliged to perform remedial work for the following 12 months, under the Building Act. He has repeatedly denied poor workmanship, and blamed it on my curtains being too heavy. It turned out that the rail was never in the studs. I'm lucky the rail didn't fall on anyone.
