Job description

General Handyman Tasks
Waitakere

We have three jobs for a handyman which shouldn’t be more than a day’s work. First job - we have a kitchen cupboard door with rusted hinges that need replacing, and a new under-sink swing out bin installing. These are standard fittings so shouldn’t be too hard to find or install but my handyman skills are very basic. I can source parts to save you the time but need to know what to get. See first 4 photos. Second job - we have had a new firewood shed installed with a gutter to collect rainwater in a small tank (250L, x2 if possible). The ones I’m going to get are from the guttertank range at Mitre10 which also sells the hose connector and ‘twist’ diverter which fits into a standard downpipe (see pics). At the moment there is just the gutter and rectangular downpipe opening, so I’d need to source you whatever downpipe(s), adaptor(s) diverter, hose, etc, you think are needed, plus the tanks (two if they’ll fit) and have you install everything. The downpipe attachment is in the 6th photo and the area is shown in the 7th photo. The products I’m thinking of using are shown in the last three photos. You could go and fetch the parts yourself if necessary or send me off with a list while you fix the cupboard, or start on the third job... Third job - we want a new fold down washing line installed. I don’t think the wall cladding can take the weight of a fully loaded line so am thinking to get a ground mount kit with plates to affix to the deck next to the wall, and then install the clothesline on that. The wall is in the fifth photo, and the clothesline and mount kit in the eighth and ninth photo (sorry they’ve uploaded out of order). I’ve taken pictures of everything to try to give you a sense of the jobs but it would be best if you visit to look at everything and tell me what you need me to get in advance. The clothesline will take a few weeks to come I believe and I’m keen to know if you would agree with my plan to get the ground mount kit, so I’d prefer a quick visit soon to quote and spec and then the work itself in October.
