20 kilo mirror needs to be hung on wall with steel framing

I have a heavy mirror that we couldn’t hang up as when drilling through the wall hit the steel frame. I am unsure if the wall could hold a mirror if there isn’t any wooden frame behind the wall but have been told studs should be able to hold it up. I have a tv of similar weight on another wall so hope it is possible.
