Floorboard under carpet needs to be replaced. Measures around a metre in length. When walking over it, it feels spongy.
Photo on right, when looking at it closer, shows a ridge going across the carpet. The one on the left is harder to see.
History - around 6 years ago I had the bathroom redone (seen on left). The floor had been replaced coming out into the hallway. Did not go further up the hallway.
