I need help with 2 odd jobs: 1) Temporarily pulling back the carpeting in the hallway in various locations to show the state of the floorboards to my wife. There is one small "soft spot" on the floor which was due to water damaged that ceased many years ago. I've been told how to pull back the carpet but I'm afraid that I won't be able to put it back the right way afterwards, and would like some opinion about the seriousness of the "soft spot", as well as the condition of the other floor boards. 2) Installing an Arlo floodlight camera on the front of a detached metal garage (I'm concerned that the bracket that is supplied with the camera won't work properly when attached to the metal exterior), and what the best options are for keeping the camera perpetually charged. Hopefully, both tasks could be completed within 2 - 3 hours at the most. We're hoping to have both accomplished before Friday, October 1st. We both have flexible working arrangements to allow that to happen during weekdays (or weekends) (at least as long as we stay at Alert Level 2).

He was willing to take on a series of small jobs, provided the information that we had wondered for many years, and made it relatively painless whereas I thought there would be more hassle involved, and was very flexible to work around our busy schedules.
