Replace line on Hills retractable clothesline

Hi. The line on my Hills retractable clothesline is getting rather worn which means it's not retracting very well.
I have been told by Mitre 10 and a bit of googling that it can be replaced, but the video I found looks beyond my capability and available equipment (eg. this video --- ).
So I'd like to get it done by someone that has some previous experience in replacing lines on this type of washing line.
FYI I have purchased 30m of line from Mitre 10.
