Fix/re-install fallen curtain rail bracket & repair drywall

Job image

Job description

Other (Handyman) Mount Wellington, Auckland

Published on 4th June 2026

Hi there,

I need a handyman to help re-install a curtain rail over a window.

As you can see in the attached image, one of the wall brackets has pulled out of the wall, leaving a small hole/damage in the plasterboard. The bracket on the left is still intact.

What needs doing:

Patch/repair the small hole in the drywall where the right-hand bracket pulled out.

Securely re-mount the right-hand bracket (potentially shifting it slightly or using heavy-duty wall anchors/toggles to ensure it holds properly this time).

Re-hang the curtain rail.

I have the rail and the original bracket, but you will likely need to supply the appropriate wall anchors, plaster/filler, and touch-up tools.

Please let me know your availability and an estimated cost. Thanks!
