Crack in large external glass

Hi I have a large external window which has got a big crack through it. Window is about 1.4 x 1.4 (I'll double check but i think that is roughly right). Doesn't seem to be double glazed - older style house. The crack is getting progressively bigger and bigger. I am not sure where it came from, but possible from the BBQ touching it. My excess is $500, so I am just wanting to find out if a fix on Builders Crack is more or less than $500. Is less I'll just do it. if more, Ill claim insurance.
