Job description
I have a sash window in a 1910 villa that has a piece of wood that needs replacing or repairing. Also some other wooden window frames on outside porch in a similar state

We booked kumeu carpentry to repair or replace a sash window with some rot in it. On review we were told the rot could be repaired and the sash didn’t need replacing. The rot was repaired, but 3 months later we discovered on in the same sash a significant area of rot adjoining the repair that wasnt repaired; bad enough that the sash needed replacement. On questioning them about this they refused responsibility & became hostile. I would not recommend their services.

"We submitted a cost to refurbish the whole window that was deemed too costly by the client. Instead they asked us to treat the rot that could be identified. Which we did at a discounted rate. Even fixed their front gate for free.
Now, timber beading has been removed to identify more rot. The customer, rather than calling us to arrange for us to come and treat the newly discovered area or rot, sends us an email demanding a full refund to the works previously completed."
